| The Azalea Garden
From the Lower Pond, continue on the gravel path where additional and unusual dogwood and redbud specimens are displayed leading to the Azalea Garden. Approximately 500 azaleas, rhododendrons, mountain laurel, and camellias of various types are planted up and down the hillside, spilling across the driveway, under the expansive pine canopy of this garden. A stone stairway and path lead through this area. There are three seating areas in the Azalea Garden for resting and enjoying the vistas of the gardens. The Azaleas are usually spectacular in April.
