When is Baxter Gardens Open?
The Gardens are open the entire month of April each year as part of Dogwood Arts Trails and Gardens. During April, The Gardens open daily at 9:00 a.m. and close at dusk. Due to the popularity of The Gardens, the best times to visit are during the week, and/or mornings. On May 1, The Gardens close and remain closed until the next April.
What does it cost to visit?
The Gardens are free to the public.
Can I have photos taken at the Gardens?
Individuals, prom couples, engaged or married couples and families are welcomed to have special occasion photos taken at Baxter Gardens during the month of April only. “Staged” photography, the use of reflectors, the use of confetti, glitter, props that create debris, etc. is strictly prohibited. No commercial photography set up allowed.
Where do I park?
Free on-site parking is available and clearly marked. Please respect the property and follow the directional signs, as well as the directions of parking guides, and park in designated areas only. We are not set up to handle limos. Thank you!
Are there restrooms?
There are no restroom facilities at Baxter Gardens
Is Baxter Gardens accessible for guests with limited mobility?
Due to the varying terrain with gravel paths and steps, only parts of the Gardens are wheelchair accessible. However, several sections of the Gardens can be seen while driving along the mile-long driveway loop.
Is it okay to bring pets?
Due to the large number of people who visit the Gardens during these 30 days, pets are not allowed. Please respect our property, as well as our many other visitors, and make arrangements to leave your pets at home during your visit.
Is Baxter Gardens available for events?
The Gardens are a private residence and not available for event hosting.
